POSITION: ASSISTANT MANAGER – LOCAL AND EXPORTCOMPANY: CLEARING AND FORWARDING.LOCATION: DAR ES SALAAM
Duties and Responsibilities.
Supervising bond and dealing with T1 issuing including bonding and dispatch to container terminal.
Overall supervision of all local and exports shipments in the company.
Looking for more new local export clients.
Attending all operations meeting.
Coordinating all office local and export issues and communicate to company principals.
Attending to visiting customers.
Solving to finality all local and exports operational routine problems.
Attending to sales leads, and quotations.
Ensuring daily/ monthly reports are produced and submitted to Managing Director and to our clients.
Taking disciplinary steps on staff not performing properly according to Company standards
Ensuring all company / systems, regulations are all times complied with.
Any other jobs as may be assigned from time to time by management
Qualification and Other Requirements.
Diploma in Clearing, Forwarding and Shipping is an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years in a reputable clearing and Forwarding firm
Be able to work under pressure
Excellent in problem solving skills
Must demonstrable the ability to maintain good working relations with all the stake holders in the field
Must be flexible in work habits and schedules
Effective communication skills, both English & Swahili
Knowledge of Computer Programs i.e excel, word, internet, E-mail.
Candidates meeting the required qualifications and skills should send;
