POSITION: ASSISTANT OPERATIONS (1 POST)

LOCATION: Arusha Tanzania
JOB SUMMARY.

The Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the agrovet distribution. This includes inventory management, logistics coordination, procurement assistance, and ensuring timely and efficient order fulfillment.
 
3. POSITION DESCRIPTION

Monitor stock levels of agrovet products and ensure timely replacement.
Coordinate retail logistics especially in distribution.
Maintain delivery records and ensure all dispatches are properly documented.
Assist in placing purchase orders based on stock needs and sales projections.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality agrovet products.
Verify the quality and quantity of received stock before updating inventory.
Handle inquiries from sales team regarding product availability, pricing, and deliveries.
Maintain proper documentation for inventory, supplier transactions, and deliveries
Assist in preparing reports on stock levels, procurement, and distribution efficiency.
Follow up of all stock activities ie. expired stock, stock transfer, issuing, return and storage
Other duties may assign by supervisor

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION


Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in, agriculture, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in operations and logistics preferably in Agrovet or agribusiness.
Knowledge of agro-inputs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, veterinary drugs, etc.) is an advantage.
Skill in MS Office (Excel, Word,) and inventory management
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
