Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career in finance? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our Finance team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Supervising and allocating tasks within the Accountancy Section to ensure timely completion.
Collaborating with external financial auditors during annual financial statement audits.
Contributing to the preparation of annual revenue and capital budgets, monitor financial performance, and complete annual accounts.
Providing accounting support for the Housing Revenue Account, including budgeting, monitoring, and financial advice.
Maintaining monthly intercompany reconciliations, Fixed Assets Register, and accounts payable/receivables reports.
Managing AzamPay and Bulk payout transactions and reconcile them with Mobiquity.
Performing and formalizing internal controls, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with IFRS.
Qualifications
5 years experience in Accounting in the FMCG industry
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related Field
Professional Qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent
