Job Summary: As the Cider Master & Distiller at our start-up cidery, you will play a pivotal role in creating and developing exceptional ciders, fresh juices, and distilled liquors. This multi-faceted position requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for crafting high-quality beverages. From continuing the development of our cider products to overseeing fresh juice extraction and later developing distillation processes, your work will be pivotal in delivering on the ttt vision of producing and supplying to the Tanzanian market a broad range of high-quality, premium beverages. There will be a strong R&D focus in this role, with a high potential for skill and personal development. You will be continuing the work of a previous consultant who started production in early 2024. There will be the opportunity to consult with the previous person who worked on the cider as needed.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire cider production process
Maintain quality control standards
Monitor fermentation
Keep meticulous records
Manage equipment
Juice production
Dried apple production
Must Have:
Bachelor Degree in science or related field
Knowledge and experience in fermentation processes
Strong sensory evaluation skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong sense of safety
A passion for beverage production
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of brewing techniques
Prior experience in beverage production
Creativity
SOP development
