Civil Engineer (Project Manager)
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Civil Engineer (Project Manager) to assist the lead architect/design engineer in preparing designs. Responsibilities include advising on static and technical questions, creating cost-effective solutions, and selecting materials by updating/adjusting standard designs (for small changes).
Responsibilities
Accurately estimate materials needed for projects (bill of quantity).
Plan projects and milestones; prepare project plans in Odoo or Excel for easy follow-up.
Assist with technical drawings for municipal/government bodies.
Make statically correct suggestions and prepare drawings for container foundations as needed.
Assist with tender applications and preparation of tender documents.
Prepare cost estimation/BOQ for tenders.
Report on tools and equipment availability and maintenance.
Manage team members.
Create a weekly recap report (Fridays) summarizing project progress, challenges, quality control, suggestions for improvement, and targets for the following week.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Must be registered by the Engineering Board (PE Level registered).
5+ years' experience as a Civil Engineer, preferably in architectural and design.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; high accuracy in calculations and design.
Proficiency in engineering software.
Ability to coordinate a project.
