Job Purpose
The role holder will be responsible with handling public relations, information output, and media requests. He/ She will also plan social media campaigns or advertising efforts for the foundation, Overall, he/she will ensure the foundation has excellent and effective advertising whenever a campaign is in the works as well as create engaging content for various platforms across social media to assist in growing an audience and promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on our foundation's behalf.
Job Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
A minimum of 2 years' experience in communications, social media management or public relations
Proven social media and networking expertise Experience and knowledge in copywriting, proofreading and editing
Experience in Social Media Management and IT background
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), photo and video-editing software experience is an asset
Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external role-players.
Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players.
Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc
Planning and initiating communications and promotional campaigns
Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation
