Mwananchi Communications Limited, a subsidiary of Nation Media Group, and publishers of Mwananchi, The Citizen and Mwanaspoti newspaper and its digital products is looking to recruit highly motivated and experienced individuals to fill the positions of:
CONTENT UPLOADER – (1 Post)
Purpose
Responsible for edit and upload content for the Platforms and ensure it is uploaded in the accurate format in timely manner.
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Digital, Editorial, Marketing and Advertisings teams to plan and develop Platform content, style and layout
Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency
Optimize content according to Company Policy
Use content management systems to analyze subscriber/platform traffic and users engagement metrics
Manage content distribution to Digital channels and social media platforms to increase Revenues, Subscriptions, Viewers, Impression, engagement, etc.
Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
Develop & Adhere content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Academic : Basic University Degree in Journalism/Mass Communication
Professional: Diploma in Journalism
Experience : 3 years working experience in a busy newsroom NB: Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
