Job Purpose
As the Data Scientist (DS), you will utilize your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets from various sources to deliver and automate actionable insights across the organization. We are a cloud-first data-driven organization. Our data stack includes AWS big data managed services, PowerBl, and CommCare.
The position is responsible for building, maintaining and automating our entire data ecosystem. You will implement a robust and agile data pipeline to improve data reliability and quality across the organization. You will monitor and ensure the consistency of our data from end to end, implementing a data architecture that enables seamless data extraction and transformation for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
Job Qualifications / Experience
5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
Experience designing and implementing big-data architectures on AWS
Knowledge of a variety of AT/ML techniques, advanced statistical techniques, and concepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
Ability to travel extensively Solid understanding of AWS big-data managed services.
Excellent knowledge of self-service portals and mobile app technology.
Exceptional data visualization skills using QuickSight and PowerBI
Strong understanding of statistical and data mining techniques .
Proficient in querying databases and using statistical languages such as R and Python
