DATABASE ADMINISTRATORINDUSTRY: INSURANCEHR World Limited on behalf of our client we are looking for a Database Administrator who will assist in designing, developing, and managing database systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES;
Designing and implementing database systems based on organizational requirements & creating and optimizing database schemas, tables, and indexes.
Improving the performance of database queries through optimization techniques and analyzing and fine-tuning SQL queries to enhance overall system efficiency.
Developing and maintaining data models that align with business need & ensuring data consistency, integrity, and normalization within the database.
Collaborating with software developers to integrate databases with applications & ensuring seamless data flow between different components of the software infrastructure.
Writing scripts and using automation tools to streamline database-related processes & Implementing automation for routine tasks, backups, and maintenance.
Performance Monitoring: Monitoring database performance and proactively addressing issues & implementing solutions to optimize resource utilization and responsiveness.
Creating and maintaining documentation for database architecture, configurations, and processes. Keeping records of changes, updates, and troubleshooting procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS;
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in database management and administration may be beneficial (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
Minimum 3 years of hands-on systems engineering/support experience within financial services.
Proficiency in working with various DBMS platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or others for automation and integration tasks & Expertise in data modeling tools and techniques
Experience with automation tools for database management and maintenance.
