HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join their Supply Chain team. The role involves creating accurate forecasts, collaborating with sales, marketing, and production teams, and supporting the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align supply and demand effectively.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating a statistical forecast using the company’s selected planning tool, ensuring continuous improvement in forecast accuracy.
Liaise with sales and marketing to collect business intelligence inputs on time for the monthly Demand Review Meeting.
Support the Planning Manager during the Demand Review Meeting, where the unconstrained demand plan is finalized.
Provide reports on month-to-month forecast accuracy and stability.
Coordinate effectively with Production Planners to ensure availability of finished goods.
Support the Industry Planning Manager in Sales and Operations Planning meetings by finding optimal solutions to conflicting priorities between Sales and Production.
Keep all stakeholders informed on progress against agreed plans.
Liaise with department managers across industry to ascertain actual inventories, constraints, and future goods flows, ensuring accurate and realistic planning outputs.
Align and develop the S&OP Plan with Business Plan Process (BPP) objectives and sales forecast volumes.
Expand the S&OP process to include tactical planning for at least quarterly periods.
Support planning for new product introductions from launch until product retirement.
Manage and plan minimum stock balances to maintain supplier lead times and stock holding policies to avoid stock outs.
Reconcile Safety Stock policies for Make-to-Stock or Kanban items to avoid loss of sales.
Ensure the MRP system operates in line with sales volumes and reorder points to prevent stock outs.
Track adherence to production plans and monitor improvements.
Clearly communicate any constraints affecting customer delivery dates.
Establish and maintain a Master Data system and implement technological solutions to translate demand inputs into supply.
Contribute to departmental and company planning and budgeting cycles, including the annual Business Plan Process (BPP).


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of general work experience in Supply Chain.
Minimum 5 years in a similar demand planning role.
Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industries.
Must be an end user of ERP systems, preferably SAP ERP.
Exposure to planning tools such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, or O9 Solutions is preferred.
