Digital Marketing and Creative Officer
Job Summary
The Digital Marketing and Creative Officer is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing the bank’s digital marketing strategy while leading creative content production across all customer touchpoints. This role blends strategic digital marketing expertise with hands-on creative direction to build brand awareness, drive product adoption, and support customer acquisition and retention goals all within the regulatory framework governing financial services marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy
Develop and implement integrated digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, SEO/SEM, display advertising, and the bank’s website
Manage the bank’s digital advertising budget and optimize spend for maximum ROI
Monitor and analyse campaign performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.) and report on KPIs
Support product launches (loans, savings accounts, cards, mobile banking features) with targeted digital campaigns
Manage the bank’s presence and reputation across social media platforms
Creative Direction & Content
Lead the design and production of marketing collateral: social media assets, video content, email templates, banners, and branch materials
Ensure all creative output aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity
Oversee copywriting for campaigns, ensuring messaging is clear, compliant, and customer-focused
Manage relationships with external agencies, freelance designers, and production vendors when needed
Compliance & Governance
Ensure all marketing content complies with banking regulations, advertising standards, and internal risk/compliance requirements
Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to review and approve campaign materials before launch
Maintain accurate records of campaign approvals and regulatory signoffs
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with product, sales, and customer experience teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives
Collaborate with IT/digital banking teams on website, app store, and digital platform content
Support internal communications and employer branding initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a creative or design in a Financial or Telecommunication industry.
Prior experience in banking, financial services, or a highly regulated industry preferred
Proven track record of managing successful digital campaigns and creative projects
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma)
Solid understanding of digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, email marketing tools, CMS platforms)
Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and brand communication skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Proven track record of managing successful digital campaigns and creative projects
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
