Distribution DriverCoca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents exciting opportunities for 3 Distribution Drivers in Dar es Salaam to join the Logistics team at CCBA. The roles will report to the Distribution Team Leader.CCBA is the 8th largest Coca-Cola authorised bottler in the world by revenue and the largest on the continent. It accounts for over 40% of all Coca-Cola ready-to-drink beverages sold in Africa by volume. CCBA group operates in 14 countries: South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi and the islands of Comoros and Mayotte.Primary RoleTo move bulk stock between Coca-Cola Kwanza Manufacturing Plants and Distribution Centres, on time and in full.Duties & ResponsibilitiesHauling of bulk stock (Primary Distribution) between Manufacturing Plants and Distribution Centres / Local Distribution Partners and OCCD’sDelivery of stock (Secondary Distribution) to Direct Delivery customers and OCCD’sProviding professional and efficient customer service to the internal and external customersCollect and handling of cash from customersEnsure the cash collected is properly banked and settled accordingly without shortageConducting and Compile necessary invoicing to ensure that all delivery documents are correct and checkedTake full accountability of the allocated truck, Mobile device, stock and pallets on truckCo-coordinating and receiving customer invoicesPerform daily stock counts in an accurate and prompt mannerComply with security checks and proceduresManagement and supervision of the crew on the truckAbide by the traffic laws and regulations of the countryComply with company safety standards and ensures no fatalitySettlement of loads after every deliverySkills, Experience & EducationQualifications: VETA Driving Certificate, Form IV secondary education, 3 years valid and applicable drivers licenceExperience: 3 years of driving experience with clean driving record, Prior distribution driving experience with HaulierPrepared to work fixed shifts at a specific time of day / days of the weekAwareness of logistics processes and understanding of inter-relationships between distribution and warehouse processesMechanical knowledge and understanding required to keep vehicles under their control in a safe and operational condition according to the company and legal standardsEquipment handling knowledge and Truck and Stock asset careUnderstanding of key performance indicators within Distribution that impact on internal and external customersUnderstanding of distribution route planning and optimisation systemsTechnology savvy, able to operate (e.g. Mobile devices, Cab Cameras and Satellite tracking)
