JOB DESCRIPTIONPurpose of the position:To facilitate Transport and ensure efficient and safe use of the vehiclesObserve mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to othersMajor Responsibilities:Driver activitiesDrive all WVT vehicles as plannedEnsure that general state of the car is in good condition all the timeKeeping vehicle clean and in good condition all the timeEnsure all required documents are valid and safely kept, up to date tool kit, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and spare tyre.Ensure that vehicle is serviced as plannedMaintain log booksAdhere to WVT Vehicle policy all the timePrepare and timely submit vehicle report in regard to fuel consumption, general vehicle usage or any adverse observation of WVT vehicles etcRemind/advice management to matters pertaining to services and repair of vehicleLogistics facilitationWork closely with logistics focal officer to follow up on processing permits, dispatch letters, collecting recommended quotations and other logistical activities as requiredFacilitating the incoming and outgoing mails and parcels.Timely coordinate office maintenance and repairStaff and visitors transport facilitationEnsure WV visitors are timely facilitated with transport especially airport pickups according to WV standardsEnsure that the vehicle log book s are dully filled and cross-checked before asking for other refuelingAct as a front office desk officer in the absence of Administration officer cum receptionistFacilitate business trip in day by arranging routes as per received requests and approvalCoordinate hired vehicles and ensure staff pickup are done in a timely manner. Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and ExperienceThe following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:Minimum Qualification required: Posses Form Four with Academic certificate with a valid class C driving licenseExperience:3 years in driving with class CPreferred: Form Four with NIT Advanced Driving CertificateTechnical Skills & Abilities:Ability to communicate in English and good command of KiswahiliAbility to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staffBasic vehicle mechanics skills
