Job Purpose
To conduct prescribed in-house training courses for drivers and operators and monitor results of the training.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct training and provide on-job training to operators and drivers.
Demonstrate machine management techniques to improve work safety and efficiency.
Provide work guidance in accordance with work instructions as issued by customers.
Conduct safety functions including performing monthly inspections of your workplace to identify any hazards.
Ensure no employee operates machinery unless adequately trained and competent.
Liaise with Safety, Health, and Environmental Representatives during inspections.
Participate in accident and incident investigations when they occur.
Ensure machinery checks are carried out by competent people and findings are recorded.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Provide administrative support including preparation of job training reports.
Maintain excellent customer relations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of secondary education.
Trainer certificate/driver instructor certificate.
Defensive driving training certificate (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a driver trainer.
Must be able to operate various machines/vehicles including truck, tractor, and grader.
Valid driving license (Classes E, G, F).
Familiar with Tanzania Road Traffic Act and its regulations.
