Earthworks Technician

Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily earthworks activities, including excavation, grading, filling and compaction works
Ensure earthworks operations are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and safety standards
Coordinate the use of construction equipment, materials, and workforce on site
Monitor site levels, alignment and compaction quality to meet project requirements
Prepare daily work progress reports and communicate site issues to project supervisors
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on site
Coordinate with engineers and technical teams on project activities
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of earthworks, excavation, grading and compaction works
Good understanding of site safety and environmental regulations
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures in road works
Strong problem-solving and technical coordination skills
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction standards
Effective planning and organizational skills
Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related construction field
Minimum of eight (8) years of proven experience in road earthworks and civil works supervision
Practical experience in excavation, grading, compaction, gravel placement and construction equipment coordination
Ability to supervise workforce activities and ensure compliance with site safety regulations
Ability to prepare site reports, measurements and progress records
