ESG MANAGER (ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL & GOVERNANCE)HR World Ltd on behalf of our reputable client in Banking Industry, we are looking for an experienced ESG Manager responsible for cordinating the environment & social initiatives & the compliance to law and regulatory requirements of the bank operating locations.
Duties
Environmental and Social risk appraisal of new transactions, including the identification of potential environmental and social risks, and impacts as well as the development of action plans as appropriate
Creating Environmental and Social awareness among Bank’s clients
Monitor client implementation of proposed action plans
Providing feedback to business units about action plans and including E&S covenants to the loan agreements
Mentor and coach staff on environmental duties/responsibilities
Carrying out periodic site visits in collaboration with the business units and flag any breaches and update the action plans and ensure monitoring records are maintained
Prepare training materials and conduct trainings to employees
Prepare and submit reports as required
Work with different business units to develop Green Businesses
*Requirements*
•Degree in Environment related discipline
Knowledge of local environmental, health and safety legislations and regulations
Strong analytical and communication skills
Practical experience in Environmental and Social Management and Assessment including site visit experience desirable
Good knowledge of the credit process a must
Good working knowledge with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines an added advantage
Over 5 years’ experience in Environmental and Social assessments of diverse sectors
