Job Purpose:
As a Facility Manager at Mapinga Premium Foods, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and functionality of our facility. Your primary focus will be to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment for our employees. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing the facility-related budget and overseeing project-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management:
Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the maintenance and upkeep of the office facility.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address facility-related issues promptly.
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality facility services.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards to create a secure working environment.
Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, systems, and the overall facility.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring quick and effective resolution of issues.
Oversee the repair and replacement of faulty equipment and systems.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the facility budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Monitor and control expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
Provide regular reports on budget performance and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Project Oversight:
Lead and coordinate facility-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Evaluate and select contractors and vendors for project execution.
Space Planning and Utilization:
Assess and optimize office space utilization to meet current and future needs.
Coordinate office relocations and setup of new workspaces.
Work closely with departments to understand space requirements and plan accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in facility management, maintenance, and budget oversight.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and facility-related compliance.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project completion.
Budgeting and financial management experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
