Introducing Nitidæ: Nitidæ is a non-governmental organization focused on designing, developing, and implementing projects that combine environment preservation and local economies development in rural areas of the Global South. The projects focus on forest and ecosystems preservation and strengthening agricultural value chains. Nitidæ also offers technical expertise to agri-food and cosmetics companies aiming to improve agricultural value chains' performance, mitigate environmental impacts, and stimulate local development alongside producer organizations.
Nitidæ is executing about thirty projects primarily in Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Mozambique, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, and Cameroon. Teams include over 250 employees (economists, engineers, agronomists, foresters, geographers, soil carbon specialists, GIS, and remote sensing experts) across intervention countries and headquarters in France.
Interventions are conducted with local authorities, technical services, and community organizations to ensure sustainability and impact. In 2024, Nitidæ's budget was 8.4 million Euros, continuing an upward trend.
Context of Intervention
In Tanzania, Nitidæ activities commence in 2026 under a four-year EU-funded program SATAF—Strengthening Agroecological Transition & Agroforestry in Africa. The consortium includes the European Forest Institute (EFI) and focuses on coffee and cashew sectors to strengthen agroecology-based technical support for producers, deepen knowledge of agroecological production systems' ecosystem services, and support governance and policy frameworks for adopting and scaling agroecological and agroforestry practices.
Nitidæ aims to engage in other assignments and programs in the future.
Background & Objectives
The Finance & Administration Manager will coordinate financial, accounting, and human resources management in Tanzania under the hierarchical supervision of the Country Representative, Financial Controller, and CFO based in Lyon, France. Responsibilities include overseeing financial, administrative, HR, and logistics management according to internal rules, donor requirements, and other stakeholders.

Provide operational service support on finance and accounting aspects
Manage bank transactions and record them in bank journals
Conduct control of bank and cash journals, establish reconciliations monthly
Ensure correct allocation of expenses (accounting codes, analytical codes, budget lines)
Implement social, HR, and remuneration policies in compliance with national legislation
Update payroll data and track leave
Handle payment of salaries, taxes, employer, and social security declarations
Communicate budget consumption status to Project Managers
Verify accounting supporting documents for compliance
Participate in drafting budgets and defining resources for new projects
Ensure compliance with procedures for goods and services acquisition

Candidate Profile
Professional Experience:

At least 5 years in administrative and accounting management
Minimum of 2 years experience in an NGO as an administrative and financial manager

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in Excel and computer tools
Education: minimum bachelor's degree in accounting/financial management or financial control
Experience in an NGO environment handling donors' requirements is appreciated
Proficiency in national legislation related to the field
Proficiency in SAGA software highly appreciated

Job Conditions
Status: 1-year fixed-term contract, renewable, with a probation period. Position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Desired start: mid-March / early April. Base salary to be negotiated according to profile and experience.
