Overview
Equality for Growth (EfG) is a registered NGO with a vision of seeing a marketplace that is free from gender barriers, where female informal workers of all level operate freely on an equal footing with men and free from all forms of exploitation. Currently, EfG is implementing several community projects in more than three regions of mainland Tanzania, EfG is seeking suitable persons to fill three key vacant positions based in its head office in Dar es Salaam.
FINANCE OFFICER
Minimum qualification:
Candidate should be a degree holder with specialization in accounts and finance. A candidate with professional qualifications (CPA) is preferred over others. Applicant should have excellent flow in speaking and writing Swahili and English.
Job Description:
Maintain books of accounts manage and safeguard financial compliance and financial policies.
Cash management, preparation, and analysis of budgets, preparation of project and annual financial reports
Supervise sub-grantee accounting transactions and financial reports, control accountability of staff advances
Use of electronic accounting system to produce timely general ledger and detailed donor reports
Work under immense pressure including overtime during budgeting, auditing and project reporting deadlines.
Advice management on legitimate finance & accounting ideas in order to benefit the organization.
Maintain a punctual and focused approach to all matters leading to delivery of services
