Financial Controller

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations and ensure accurate reporting, effective resource management, and strategic decision-making support.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the accounting, administration, HR, IT, statutory compliance, tax, and treasury functions.
Prepare and present weekly and monthly financial reports (MIS), cash flow statements, and annual business plans.
Conduct variance analysis, manage material and stock accounting, and oversee insurance and credit management.
Support formulation and execution of the company’s strategic business plans.
Develop, implement, and monitor the annual FFT budget.
Prepare financial analyses, budgets, and scenarios for projects and investments, advising Directors accordingly.
Monitor capital-intensive projects to ensure execution within budget and available resources.
Participate in executive decision-making and maintain strong collaboration with management teams.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT and withholding tax submissions.
Manage cash balances, prepare forecasts, and optimize utilization of company funds.
Arrange and manage debt and equity financing when required.
Represent the company in negotiations with bankers and external stakeholders.
Lead and mentor the finance team; oversee recruitment, performance, and professional development.
Develop and review finance policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to strengthen internal controls.
Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements, payments, and cash-flow management reports.
Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and third parties; implement audit findings promptly.
Recommend initiatives to improve the company’s balance sheet, profitability, and cash flow.
Manage the company’s insurance portfolio, authorize payments, and sign cheques.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution.
CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is required.
Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration is an added advantage.
Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
Proven leadership, analytical, and financial planning skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
