Main purpose of job:
To ensure all generators are well kept and function properly
 
Roles and responsibilities: 

Perform a Preventive Maintenance Checks for the Generators into daily, weekly or monthly basis as per system, standard or equipment manufacture requirements.
Perform Servicing, troubleshooting, fault finding and repair of the Generators by ensuring safety, reliability and operational effectiveness of all generators and control system as per Health and Safety requirement and Procedures.
Maintained records and files, prepared reports and ordered supplies/equipment
Diagnosed malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components with the help of test
Provided preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services as well as assisted during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, and driving needed
Performed physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches to lay conduit or cables and moving heavy objects with the use of forklift, bobcats, and Heavy Equipment trucks
Used test equipment and hand tools to locate the causes of breakdowns and/or system
Performed electronic repair to board and component level equipment, inspections and repairs on generators and power supplies.
Performed complex maintenance, testing, operated, diagnosed, repaired, and aligned generators. Operated electrical power generating distribution centres, AC/DC.
Diagnosed equipment problems using manuals, schematics, and various test equipment.
Work beyond official hours as and when required and attend any emergency duty calls when is required.
Carry out any other official duties as assigned by his /her immediate supervisor
Being able to drive and maintain the light-duty vehicles.




Essential qualifications, skills, and experience  




Customer care experience
Mechanical Technician Level 3
FTC in Mechanical
Diploma in Mechanics
Fluent in written and spoken English

Specialize in Generator Automation
