MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Activity 25%
Implementation and reporting of planned activities

Participate in planning and budgeting, preparation of work plans, implementation of planned activities and monitoring/ reporting of progress.
Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagements.
Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops and Seminars.
Identify local level partners, support and facilitate the partnership in the implementation of planned activities.
Facilitate stakeholders and partners in supervision and monitoring of programmatic activities.
Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories on monthly, semi-annual and annually.
Ensure there is an enhanced management on pruning and coppicing practices in FMNR.
Enhance protection of regeneration trees and shrubs under FMNR.
Improved usage of multipurpose tree and other forest products (NTFP).
Enhance adoption of conservation farming for enhanced soil quality and food production.
Improve household knowledge and skills on FMNR practice
Establish children and youth-led environmental clubs
Facilitate introduction and establishment of FMNR committees
Facilitate promotion and adoption of Energy Savings Cooking stoves
Facilitate Tree-based value chain development activity such as bee-keeping promotion among 1,500 households in Kisongo Makuyuni AP
Enhance access to financial products and services

The FMNR Project is well managed as stipulated in the project proposal.
 
Activity 20%
Community engagement and advocacy

Sensitize community to engage on FMNR initiatives that includes land degradation, soil infertility and erosion, biodiversity loss, food insecurity, fuel wood, building timber and fodder shortages and dysfunctional hydrological cycles (exacerbated flood and drought events, reduced ground water recharge, drying of springs, wells and streams).
Ensure that Community environmental structures strengthened for FMNR
Facilitate access to capital through formation and strengthening of Savings for Transformation groups (S4Ts)
Mobilize and facilitate integration of Vision Fund Tanzania (VFT) and Resilience Project Models such as Market Led Agriculture, Local Value Chain Development (LVCD), Standardized Saving Groups; Saving for transformation.
Ensure that community agreements are in place for the management of trees, communal land & bylaws
Innovatively support communities including RC households to participate and benefit from the programme development and make intentional inclusion of RC families in FMNR. 
Facilitate community to customize incentive packages that are environmentally friendly
Facilitate integration of FMNR in other projects namely CESP, IWASH and Resilience and livelihood
Mobilize and facilitate active participation of children and their communities to participate in planning, monitoring and implementation and evaluation of FMNR activities.
Making sure that FMNR practices actively shared with other, both within and beyond the target community.
Build the capacity of children, families and community on FMNR.
Follow-up on commitments by leaders on improvement greening restoration.
Ensure that enhanced child led school environment and child participation in FMNR

Activity 10%
Networking:

Facilitate networking relationships and participation with wide stakeholders such as government. church, faith-based organization leaders and other key partners at local level such as NGOs, CBOs IGA groups.
Facilitate WVT/VFT integration for profitable environmental restoration, agriculture, livestock production and enterprise development (high value agriculture crops and livestock).
Facilitate capacity building of other partners on the concept of FMNR

 
End Results
There are collective efforts from different development agents on environmental restoration.

Coordinate effective implementation of prioritized THRIVE Program activities such as;

Monitor sustenance and operation of Mbuyuni Community water pan
Monitor operation and sustenance of Nashipai Honey processing Centre

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
•Minimum Qualification required:  Agriculture General, Agronomy from an accredited College/University in Agriculture Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science related field or any other closely related professional background.
•Experience:  1 - 3 years in programming.
 
Specifically:

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification.
•Degree /Advanced Diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture general, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science & related fields from an accredited College/ University. .
 
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management, Sociology, Community Development, Psychology & other closely related field.
 
Ability to drive a Motorcycle for long hours and in possession of a Motorcycle driving license.
 
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

Work environment: Few offices work with frequent visits to the field.
Travel:  20% Domestic travel is required   and on-call: 50%
