HEAD-CREDIT ADMINISTRATION
Reporting Line: Head Of Credit
Job Purpose
To provide leadership and oversight of the bank's credit administration function, ensuring seamless processing of credit transactions, robust credit documentation and controls, timely loan disbursements, regulatory compliance, and accurate credit reporting.
Duties And Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the Credit Administration function to ensure effective implementation of approved credit facilities, compliance with credit approvals, internal policies, regulatory requirements, and sound portfolio management practices.
Ensure completion of all pre-disbursement conditions, documentation, and security requirements prior to facility utilization.
Oversee and authorize loan disbursements and related transactions within delegated authority limits.
Ensure timely perfection, registration, custody, and periodic review of security documents and collateral records.
Monitor compliance with facility covenants and credit conditions, maintain exception registers, and ensure timely escalation and resolution of breaches, waivers, and outstanding documentation.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of all regulatory returns, including Bank of Tanzania (BoT), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), and other statutory reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, CIB, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of credit administration, loan documentation, collateral management, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years' relevant banking experience in Credit Administration, Credit Operations, Credit Risk, or related functions.
At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
Proven experience in loan disbursement management, covenant monitoring, collateral administration, and regulatory reporting.
Personal Attributes
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
