Location: Dar es Salaam
Job Purpose: ZCLL is seeking a qualified and experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
 
Responsibilities for the Role

Develop and enforce HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions.
Provide safety training to employees and management.
Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations.
Assists in responding to and investigating concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assists in taking appropriate action
Assists in carrying out industrial hygiene surveys
Assists in carrying out inspections of workplaces and takes necessary action to ensure compliance.
Assists in the establishment of workplace safety and health committees.

 
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in logistics will be added advantage
