Job summary;
We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. As the HSE Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees through effective health and safetymeasures.
Key Activities

Develop and implement health, safety, and environment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Provide training and education to employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and the use of safety equipment.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer first aid and medical treatment as needed.
Maintain accurate records of workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety initiatives and programs aimed at reducing accidents and promoting a culture of safety.
Conduct investigations into workplace incidents and accidents, and prepare reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
Stay updated on relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, and ensure that the organization remains in compliance with all applicable laws

 
Academic Qualification and skills required

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Certified in First Aid.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in health, safety, and environment management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety concerns.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and safety management software.
