Overview
ALAF Limited as one of the subsidiaries of the Safal group is looking for a qualified and experienced candidate for the position of the imports Officer that will be based in Dar es Salaam. The incumbent will report directly to the Loggia Manager.
Key Performance Areas:
Monitors clearing and documentation for all Import via Sea. Air and Road and maintain an updated status every day.
Handles local transportation to service centers within the country.
Manage clearing agents and local transporters.
Manage a bonded warehouse and Its entire record keeping.
Maintain PR with Port Authorities. ICDs Shipping Lines and TRA.
Liaise with overseas suppliers to guide them on documentation requirements and Issue POs.
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by superior from time to time.
May raise requisitions to the Supply Chain Manager.
The working environment requires that the Officer and all his/her Team wear PPEs all the time for safe, reasons
Office bound/on-site / travel/ May be required to travel
Willing to work extended hours to accomplish job roles
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Requirements :
The ideal candidate should meet the following:
Degree in Transport/Logistics. Clearing and Forwarding, Supply Chain or any other related qualification
Minimum of 4 years' of working experience in manufacturing or any logistics/freight forwarding company.
Manufacturing/Logistics/Freight Forwarding
MS Office Packages particularly MS Excel and Outlook
Outstanding knowledge of electronic spreadsheets
Previous experience on SAP/ Navision ERP or any other ERP Is an added advantage
