Infrastructure Lead
INDUSTRY: BANKING
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Infrastructure Lead who will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the high availability of the bank’s technology infrastructure. The Infrastructure Lead will drive strategy, oversee execution, and ensure performance, scalability, recoverability, and security of all infrastructure systems in alignment with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, implementation, and operations of Data Centre, Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure, Core banking services, branch connectivity, ATM/POS, and self-service channels
Oversee day-to-day monitoring of server hardware, networks, and operating systems, ensuring optimal availability and performance
Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture landscape, aligning infrastructure strategy with the bank’s overall objectives
Manage virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware, Oracle Virtual, AWS, Azure, GCP) and implement automation to improve efficiency
Oversee incidents and problem management processes, ensuring SLA adherence and timely root cause analysis (RCA) reporting
Ensure robust infrastructure performance metrics, capacity planning, and monitoring frameworks are in place
Coordinate annual ICT budget planning, cost management, and ensure cost-effective infrastructure operations
Lead initiatives for infrastructure upgrades, installations, and continuous optimization of primary and secondary data centers for resilience and HA
Ensure infrastructure security through monitoring, threat detection, and incident response in collaboration with the network security team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
At least 8 years of experience in Technology Infrastructure Operations and Management
Professional certifications preferred: AWS/Azure/VMware, ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent
Strong expertise in infrastructure management tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), enterprise system integrations, and virtualization (VMware, Oracle, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Advanced experience with database technologies (SQL & NoSQL), Hadoop ecosystem, and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
Proven track record in disaster recovery architecture, storage, networking, and server administration (Linux, Windows, Oracle)
Strong knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, DataDog)
Hands-on experience with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI), and scripting/programming (Python, Java, Go, Ruby, NodeJS)
Excellent understanding of networking, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud-based infrastructure security
