Position: Intern Finance & Accounting
Contract type & Duration: Specified Time Contract (6 Months)Department: Finance & AdministrationReporting to: Senior AccountantNumber of Positions: One (01).
Purpose of the Role:
An intern in Finance & Accounting typically assists the department with various tasks, including preparing financial statements, supporting accounts payable and receivable, and aiding in budget preparation and expense tracking. He/she might perform basic bookkeeping, data entry, and assist with audits.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Finance and Account and all other related field or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.
Basic knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, Tally system or other accounting software.
Strong math skills and a good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience:
0 – 1 year of experience in Account and Finance or other related field.
Main or Key Accountabilities:
Assisting with Financial Reporting:
Preparing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
Creating reports for management, including budget comparisons and variance analysis.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Support:
Processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts.
Assisting with the collection of outstanding payments.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Aiding in the preparation of budgets and forecasting future financial performance.
Tracking expenses and comparing them to budget.
Basic Bookkeeping and Data Entry:
Entering financial data into accounting software.
Maintaining accurate financial records.
Audit Support:
Organizing documents and providing information for audits.
Assisting with audit procedures.
Other Support Tasks:
Preparing bank reconciliations.
Managing payroll-related tasks.
Responding to inquiries from employees or clients
Additional Requirements:
A strong work ethics Eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach
Excellent communication, analytical and teamwork skills
Strong math skills and a good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
