Position: IT ENGINEER AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Reports to: IPVOX AND ASTERISK Manager
Reviewing current systems for improvement
Plan, prepare and perform system improvements
Testing the systems in controlled, real situations before and after going live
Setting up desktop hardware and software in the call centre and testing their functionality
Preparation and training users( Call centre agents and Tigo store users)
Monitoring antivirus upgrades.
Installation and implementation of a new software and software processes
Network cables termination and testing
Handling daily technical support to end users.
Maintaining inventory of computer hardware
Software installation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering, Programming, Soft ware development or relevant experience
At least three years’ experience working in a call centre
Should be proficient in Programming
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with emphasis on forecasting.
Ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
Skills in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision making.
Ability to be highly organized with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Ability to organize information and have attention to detail and accurately follow procedures.
Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team en-vironment, occasionally under time pressure and on several tasks at the same time.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, man-agement team, other Departments, vendors, and outside agencies, including being sensitive to professional ethics.
Ability to sit the entire work day viewing a computer monitor
