LITIGATION MANAGERINDUSTRY: BANKINGHR World Limited on behalf of our reputable client we’re looking for a Litigation Manager who will be responsible for monitoring and/ or advising the company on legal matters, commercial contracts and agreements.
RESPONSIBILITIES;
Preparation of Board Presentation papers on matters relating to legal and credit.
Drafting of Board/Annual General Meeting Minutes and other related minutes in respect to legal and credits.
Representing the Company Secretary in Management Credit Committees.
Overseeing the security perfection and drafting process handled byexternal lawyers.
Acts as the Disciplinary Committee Secretary for the Bank
Reviewing and supervises the disciplinary process from preparation of investigation report to finality.
Advising the Corporate Department on security perfection activities.
Guide the Management on Litigation Matters and ensure adherence to the Civil & Criminal Procedure Acts, Companies Act, Bank of Tanzania Act, Banking and Financial Institution Act, Employments and Labour Relations Act and other Legislation.
Initiates, Participates and Provide Legal Advice in Negotiations Leading to Out-Of-Court Settlements.
Provide Legal Advice on NPL Recoveries and Matters Relating to Litigation Filed for and Against the Bank.
Collects and arrange evidence required for effective litigation for all cases involving the Bank and ensures cases files are properly organized
Initiates, participates, and provide legal advice in negotiations leadingto Out-Of-Court Settlements and review of the Out-Of-Court Settlement Agreements or Deeds of Settlement drafted by External Lawyers.
QUALIFICATIONS;
Bachelors degree in Law and Advocate of the high court.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Telecom/Banking.
A presentable and sharp personality
Energetic, self-starter and determined for success
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Swahili languages.
