Maintenance Manager  
Capital Ltd is an international & highly respected mineral exploration drilling company with operations spanning over 3 continents, an industry leader in safety with ambitious growth strategies. In Tanzania we have our Head office in Mwanza and operations covering 3 main mining companies / sites within Tanzania.
We have an immediate requirement for highly skilled, experienced, motivated, and professional Maintenance Manager who will be working in the mining industry in Tanzania. Reporting to the Project Manager and Group Maintenance Manager, you will be working to lead the maintenance of their assets on site in Tanzania.
Minimum Qualification: Diploma

Experience Level: Mid management-level
Experience Length: 10 years
Nationality: Tanzanian citizen

 
Role includes:

Ensure correct scheduling of pre-planned maintenance to achieve maximum availability of assets through the direction of the Maintenance staff minimising asset down time
Develop & execute strategies to ensure that asset down time is minimised & that appropriate post mortems are carried out so that lessons learnt / corrective actions can be incorporated into future strategies
Develop strategies to ensure improved efficiency, reduce asset down time & ensure maximum utilisation of resources
Leading the maintenance team on site
Ensuring all equipment is maintained in accordance with defined standards
Ensuring spare parts and resource availability
Assist in the development of maintenance procedures
Ensure daily job cards, time sheets and other documentation are completed as per company policy
Asset management and reporting through the computerized maintenance system
Continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained
Mentoring and training subordinates

 
Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ proven experience in Drilling/Mining industry within Tanzania
Strong diagnostics skills
Workplace assessor accreditation (desirable)
Diploma of Management (desirable)
Strong low voltage electrical experience
Strong mechanical & hydraulic skills
Sound people management skills
Good written & verbal communication skills
Strong organisational & negotiation skills
Ability to demonstrate preventative maintenance skills, maintenance planning and develop strategies.
Ability to develop & maintain record keeping systems & procedure
Demonstrated knowledge of HSE & Training systems
This is a hands-on operational role, based on 14- & 7-Day roster, 12-hour shift work, locations will be mine site based and security checks will be done prior to commencement.
