Responsibilities
Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Maritime Logistics Assessment Expert to provide maintenance and logistics support for the TPDF Navy. Duties and responsibilities may include the following:

Conduct a travel plan for assessments in Group 1 countries (Tanzania, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and Togo)
Conduct capability assessments focusing on the operational status of the vessels; issues to be addressed to make them fully operational; current spare part inventory and requirements; logistics, procurement, and personnel system associated with maintenance of vessels; and current maintenance life cycle, policies, and procedures to maintain existing vessels
Develop training plans, programs of instruction and training schedules for maintenance
Supervise staffing and education/training pipeline for maintenance and logistics personnel

 
Qualifications

Eight (8) years’ experience in surface maritime domain required
Eight (8) years’ experience repairing and maintain both inboard and outboard engines required
Five (5) years’ hands-on experience in operations and maintenance of Defender and Shark Boat watercraft required
Five (5) years’ experience in unit level maintenance and logistics required
Five (5) years working in Sub-Saharan Africa or a post-conflict region (see Attachment 01
Two (2) years’ experience conducting maintenance and/or logistic assessments of maritime security organizations required.
Professional experience requiring excellent verbal and written communications skills
Speaks English fluently
