Job Summary Statement
RE-ADVERTISED: Responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy-duty machinery to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and minimal downtime.

Key Performance Areas (Duties & Responsibilities)

Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy-duty machine components with accuracy.
Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to enhance machine functionality and durability.
Maintain detailed work logs, repair reports, and maintenance records.
Engage with operators/clients to understand concerns and identify mechanical issues.
Verify heavy machinery serviceability through test runs, adjustments, and system updates.
Compile and update machine service records consistently.


Academic Qualifications
Holder of Government Trade Test Certificate Grade One or Two, OR Full Technician Course (FTC) Grade One, Two, or Three with specialized training in Motor Vehicle Mechanics and Heavy-Duty Mechanics.

Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in repair and maintenance of heavy-duty machines (e.g., tractors, harvesters, loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment).
Skilled in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues.
Experience in mechanical harvester machines is an added advantage.
Strong background in customer service and technical support.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

In-depth knowledge of heavy-duty machinery components and systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Effective communication skills in both English and Swahili.
Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
