Kafika House is Seeking a Dynamic Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning CoordinatorKafika House is seeking a dynamic Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Coordinator to lead data collection, analysis, and reporting, while supporting research activities and promoting evidence-based decision making.About Kafika HouseKafika House is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Arusha, Tanzania. We operate the Kafika House program, dedicated to providing a secure and nurturing environment for children undergoing pre- and post-operative care and rehabilitation for surgically treatable disabilities. These conditions include cleft lip and palate, clubfoot, skeletal fluorosis, burn scar contractures, and osteomyelitis. Our ultimate vision is to ensure that no child in Tanzania has to live with a treatable disability.Role ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and execute MEL & Research activities in alignment with the Kafika House MEL Plan.Design comprehensive tools for data collection and analysis through surveys, interviews, focus groups, case studies, and community visits.Maintain high data quality through regular Salesforce CRM audits and ensure the ongoing relevance of MEL tools.Provide support for Salesforce utilization and staff training, including updating manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.Lead evaluation and research efforts in collaboration with the Clinical Services Manager to enhance evidence-based practices.Train and mentor staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making.Prepare accurate and timely reports for donors, stakeholders, and the Annual Report.Support the CEO and Management Team in the development and tracking of the Annual Work Plan.Monitor MEL-related expenditures and contribute to strategic planning and review processes.Education, Skills, and ExperienceHold a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, or Project Management is considered an advantage.Possess at least 5 years of relevant work experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, data management, or learning functions within NGOs, INGOs, or development programs.Demonstrate proven ability to design and implement MEL frameworks, tools, and methodologies, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative approaches.Exhibit strong data analysis and visualization skills, with proficiency in software such as Excel, SPSS, STATA, or other statistical packages.Experience working with digital data collection tools and systems (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, DHIS2, Salesforce, CommCare) is an advantage.Show demonstrated experience in producing high-quality donor and program reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.How to ApplyIf you are passionate about making a difference in healthcare and meet the qualifications above, we encourage you to apply!To apply, please send your application letter, resume, and education certificate(s) to recruitment@kafikahouse.org.The subject line should clearly indicate the position you are applying for (e.g., Application for MEL Coordinator).Application deadline: Friday, 8th May 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
