Operation Officer( Dodoma)
Job Purpose
To provide support on business by efficiently processing clients instructions
Key Responsibilities
o Drive the achievement of contacted targets in the branch
Ensure documents received from customer service are complete and accurate for processing
Ensure efficiency on processing of transactions such as third party salaries, outward and inward Cheque clearing, Account opening, TTs and TISS, Capturing and updating of clients mandate etc
Ensure zero error on processed transactions
Ensure all clients requests are executed immediately and followed up regularly so as to honor commitments made to clients
Identify cross selling and pass leads to sales team
Ensure daily work is prepared and done timely
Ensure caution when dealing with vouchers
Reconcile suspense account
Refer to clients cheque lists as required
Ensure returned cheques are processed and handed over to customer service department immediately
Ensure all queries or return back packs are handled immediately
Ensure collection of all commissions and fee are done as per prevailing tariff and circulars
All resistors are to be updated daily
Ensure call back and call over is done as per the procedure
Ensure your mandate parameter are adhered to all times
Carry out any other duty that may be assigned by supervisor/line manager and or management
o Customer Service and Relationship Building
Serve clients with professionalism ethics
Maintain neat and tidy environment all the time
Communication to clients should be done professionally
Ensure accuracy and efficiency when dealing with clients instructions
o Controls, Compliance and Risk Management (adherence to banks policies and procedure)
Ensure all transaction records are kept according to the laid down procedure
Follow service and transaction procedures as per manuals and circulars
Ensure adherence to all banks process, policies and procedure manuals
Adhere to procedures for protecting your own User ID and passwords
Ensure adherence to banks risk and control policies
Keep yourself updated with regard to KYC, COMPLIANCE and AML regulations
o Learning and Growth (People Management and Career Development)
Actively participate in product knowledge sessions
Demonstrate learning attitude
Attend training needs identified in BSC
Have a career plan in place
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Banking or related discipline.
At least three to seven (1-3) years working experience in a similar position in banking/financial institution.
Thinking and quantitative skills, problem solving, creativity and innovation
Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to write documentation in a concise and focused style.
Excellent and well developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be a team player, very self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize workload with minimum supervision.
Computer literate.
