Job Purpose: This position aims at supporting the Centre to engage the public and private sectors to dialogue and collaborate in creating an enabling environment for farmers and private sector partners through policy and regulatory framework. This falls under the implementation of Workstream 2 of the SAGCOT Centre i.e. (Policy and Enabling Environment) involving a broader engagement of the Government of Tanzania, Non-State Actors and Development Partners on the sameMinimum Qualifications include the following:A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Civil Engineering, Policy, agribusiness, economics or Infrastructure Engineering. Master degree is an added advantagePolicy and regulatory framework understanding and related experience, and value chains understanding & experienceProven experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping as an asset in collecting, processing and communicating public investmentsAt least five (5) year-experience in Civil Infrastructural Development (roads, electricity, irrigation, and storage (conventional and cold chain)) is an advantage;Multi-Sectoral Local Content understanding and experience is an advantage;Strong leadership, coordination, networking and problem-solving skills;Insight into and networks with the Tanzanian Government is a preference;Strong affinity with policy and enabling environment bottlenecks affecting agriculture value chains;Proven experience to manage complex activities/projects in a time conscious and coordinated manner;Ability to deal with multiple partners/stakeholders and grasp a timely articulation of  issues;Ability to work with Public Sector and Non-State Actors stakeholders; and Professional writing and oral skills in English is a requirement.
