About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Predictive Model ML/AI Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in driving commercial objectives through advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques. You will partner with senior leadership to define and implement AI/ML strategies that enhance customer engagement, revenue, and operational efficiency.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with the Commercial Director and senior stakeholders to define and prioritise the AI/ML use case roadmap aligned to commercial objectives including churn prevention, revenue uplift, customer segmentation, propensity modelling and campaign optimisation.
Establish and enforce ML model governance frameworks covering model validation, bias assessment, explainability standards, version control and production acceptance criteria.
Ensure ML model outputs are embedded into commercial workflows: campaign management systems, CRM platforms, BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau), and customer-facing channels enabling real-time, insight-driven decisions.
Ensure all AI/ML systems and data pipelines comply with applicable data protection regulations, including PDPA Tanzania, TCRA directives, and GDPR-aligned group standards.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
5+ years of experience in ML/AI roles, with at least 2 years in a team lead capacity overseeing end-to-end model delivery.
Telecom analytics experience strongly preferred, familiarity with CDR data, subscriber lifecycle, churn modelling & CVM.
