POSITION: Project Cost Controller 
INDUSTRY: Oil and Gas 
REPORTS TO: TBD 
JOB LOCATION: Dar es Salaam 
 
JOB PURPOSE 
The Project Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, controlling and reporting project costs to ensure adherence to budgets and financial targets. He/she must establish effective cost control processes, collaborate with procurement teams, and review contracts. 
PREFERRED EDUCATION 

Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field is highly desirable 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE 

Operational projects in the oil and gas industry 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 

Over 3 years' experience in delivering and supervising engineering orientated projects 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement. Propose and implement initiatives to enhance cost control practices, efficiency, and effectiveness. 
Assess the financial impact of proposed changes to project scope, schedule, or resources. Collaborate with project teams to evaluate change requests, providing recommendations and cost estimates. 

KEY COMPETENCIES 

Strong time management and organizational skills. 
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards in the industry.
