HELVETAS Swiss Interoperation (HELVETAS) Is a Swiss INGO actively contributing to the improvement of living conditions and status or economically poor and socially disadvantaged people in more than 33 developing countries. The urbanization of services in 5 different working areas of development which water and infrastructure, rural economy, environment and climate, education and skills development, and government and peace. In Tanzania, HELVETAS has been working for more than 20 years. currently, it runs some project in central corridor regions and the northern part of Tanzania which include rural livelihoods, horticulture, grain post-harvest loss prevention and primary education.HELVETAS in Tanzania has acquired a new three-year mandate from the European Union to execute a new project called empowering smallholder women and youth farmers on rice post-harvest management and marketing, in short, called RIPOMA. the project's overall objective is to contribute to economic development and reducing poverty in the southern agricultural growth corridor of Tanzania(SAGCOT) through improved rice value chains and market linkages of smallholder farmers. its specific objectives are value chains in Morogoro region, Kilosa, and Mvomero district in particular.HELVETAS now invites application from qualified and dynamic Tanzanian citizens for the following position Position: Project Officer - Monitoring Evaluation Research & Learning (PO-M&E)Duty Station: Morogoro (40% of time outside of office or field monitoring)Qualifications: At least Bachelor Degree in Community development, rural development, agribusiness, business administration, statistics or another related fieldExperience: minimum 5 years of professional experience, of which at least 3 years in M&E role coordination with INGOs Duties and responsibilitiesTake lead in establishing appropriate monitoring system and implementationDeveloping refined project m&e systems to meet the reporting requirements, including knowledge management and coordinate its implementation to generate project results and learnings.Facilitate to identify topics and conduct action research, capita capitalization of project experiences and management of knowledge generatedBuild the capacity of project and partners staffs on m&e, action research and knowledge management activities.CompetenciesAbility to design and using M&E system, plans, and data collection toolsExperience of data processing and analysis for producing meaningful analytical reports.Understanding of gender and social inclusion, poverty, and governanceTeam player, strong in communication with sound spoken and written English Swahili skills and presentation.Experience in preparing quality narrative reports.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products( Word, Excel, data processing packages, PowerPoint, outlook)Duration: 30-month contractBenefits: attractive package as per the rules and regulations of HELVETAS TanzaniaApplication procedures:Interested Tanzanian candidates having the competency mentioned above are requested to submit a motivation letter specifying the position being applied, updated CV and the name of three referees (previous supervisors) from the previous employers to the email address which is tanzania@helvetas.orgNB: Document should be in one pdf file not exceeding 1 MB saved with the position title.
