The SAUTI YOUTH Project Officer, will be responsible of
Formation and mobilizing CVA (Citizen Voice Action) Youth groups,
To empowers the youth to have the capacity to engage with the communities and monitor relevant government services and policy influence to climate change trough CVA
Preparation of Monthly and quarterly project report
Monitoring of the groups, by mobilizing them to establish income-generating activities that are protecting the environment.
Create awareness on climate change impacts to the communities collaborating with the youths
Collaborate with districts in Handeni and Korogwe authorities on influencing them to implements the policy and National strategy on climate change.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Fieldwork, formation and monitoring of the groups, conducting community initial planning, community gathering meetings, monitoring and scorecard s meetings, conducting interface meetings. Monitoring of CVA youth groups, (60% of time)
End Results
40 youth groups formed. 800 Youth are involved in project implementations; 4000 youth are aware of the project goal. 23000 communities are informed about the project goal. 3 Action plans are developed by the communities and are followed and implemented.
The communities are protecting the environments and aware about the climate change issues and are taking actions
Youth has been empowered and are engaging in climate change actions.
Youth are able to influence policy on climate change implementations.
Both female and male youth are engaged equally in project implementations
Producing Project reports, quarterly, monthly reports
All reports required by the project
Attending meetings, online meetings, and other added responsibilities.
Facilitating payments collaborating with PFAOs, ensures payments are done timely.
Ensure activities planned are implemented timely.
Documents success stories and lesson learned (30% of time)

Quality reports are submitted timely
All payments are done timely
Activities planned are implemented as per standards.
Documented success stories
Attending different platforms with youth, cluster meetings
Travelling has to facilitate project activities. (10% of time)

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
Bachelor degree in social science studies from any Institute or University in Tanzania
Added knowledge in environmental issues
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Bachelor degree in social science studies from any Institute or University in Tanzania
Added knowledge in environmental issues
Driving license for Motor cycle
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Solution-oriented, resourceful & performing well under pressure with minimum supervisor.
Good interpersonal skills, Team player with ability to work with all levels of organizations & maintain effective working relations.
Computer skills
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
Fieldwork in villages in Tanga and Handeni District
Physical Requirements
With ability to travel and riding motorcycle
Language Requirements
English and Swahili
