EACOP is a 1,443km crude oil export pipeline that will transport Uganda’s crude oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga port in Tanzania.
Worley will support EACOP partners led by international French company TotalEnergies, through the execution of the project.
Job Brief
The Construction Lead is responsible for Supervision of the day-to-day construction activities of the EPCMC staff & CONTRACTORs in the construction of works supporting the project, He/She will ensure work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with codes, standards and specifications.
Qualifications / Experience Required
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification (HNC/HND) combined with extensive field experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience required in Oil & Gas Pipeline construction projects,
Of which 5 years in similar position on pipeline projects.
Must possess construction experience in onshore pipeline installation projects, Civil engineering earth works, structures, piping installation along with experience of interfacing with Telecoms and Controls
Required Competencies
Staff management experience (knowledge transfer)
Excellent communications skills
Ability to delegate & set tasks
Advanced written and spoken English
Computer Skills – Microsoft office,
Competency in written/oral communication
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel as and when required
Management/ Supervisory responsibilities
To supervise the EPCMC staff & Contractors engaged in effecting these works, ensuring project delivery, safely, on time and budget.
