Public Relations Officer II (1 post)7.1 Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo collect and compile news for the Institute’s newsletter;To collect and compile information to assist in the preparation of annual reports, booklets, speeches, prospectuses, etc.;To ensure proper recording and filing of press cuttings for public relations purposes and responses;To assist in facilitating conferences, seminars, ceremonies, and the production of radio and television programmes;To deal with customer inquiries relating to the quality and availability of services;To supervise the production and distribution of calendars, diaries, greeting cards and posters;To report public criticisms and complaints to the immediate supervisor;To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.7.2 QualificationHolder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, Business Communication, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.General Conditions / Guidelines(i) NationalityAll applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania.(ii) Age LimitApplicants must be between 18 and 45 years of age at the time of application.(iii) Application CompletenessApplicants must attach a signed application letter indicating the internship position applied for, together with their recent passport size photograph and an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing reliable contact details, including postal address, email address, and telephone number(s).(iv) Academic DocumentationAll applicants must attach certified copies of their academic certificates, academic transcripts, Form IV/Form VI certificates, and birth certificate.(v) Result Slips/TranscriptsResult slips, testimonials, and partial transcripts will NOT be accepted.(vi) Foreign CertificatesApplicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates are verified and evaluated by the relevant authorities (TCU or NECTA, as applicable).N.B.: This is an internship placement programme aimed at skills enhancement.
