POSITION DESCRIPTION:
North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit three Pump Attendants to join Pump team. The successful candidate for this position will carry out assigned Pump tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and tradesman Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies. The Pump Attendant will report to the First Line Leader. This is a permanent contract role, with the work roster being seven days day shift, seven days night shift and seven days off shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines
Ensure all pumps are operating at all times
Ensure pumps locations are kept clean and tidy
Taking care of workshop tools
Ensure no damages will be tolerated of the company equipment and if any must be immediately reported to the Fixed Plant First Line Leader
Conducting Pre Start Inspection on Open Pit and Under Ground pumps prior to work.
Monitoring pump equipment display panels showing any faults and report to the First Line Leader.
Report to supervisor all maintenance requirements and operating problems on pumps.
Must assist with poly pipe work as required
Participate in regular safety meetings.
Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by the Fixed Plant First line Leader
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Trade qualified VETA or FTC
Must hold a Valid Tanzania Driving License
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in operating Open Pit and Under Ground pumps
Experience in open cast or underground mining operation
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Familiar with HME workshop activities
