Job Purpose
The role holder is primarily based in a stationary lab and responsible to test flour samples from the field and support the field quality assurance specialists. The duties include performing tests, recording data, sterilizing equipment, ordering and organizing supplies, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The role holder will also be in the field from time to time cross-functionally executing the role of the Quality Assurance Specialist, Lab
Job Qualifications /Experience
A Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as Nutrition, Food Science or any other related field
Professional certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) would be an added advantage
Experience in 1 testing lab especially food related testing and analysis
Proven experience in managing projects. Basic understanding of food science.
Sound knowledge of legal requirements and controls.
Relevant experience in a lab environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills to infonn and educate employees, and also to file correct and accurate quality assurance reports with regulating agencies
Experience, or ability to quickly leam, technical skills around food testing and lab best practices (ie. Food safety, GMP)
