Overview
Mwanga Community Bank Limited [MCBL] is a fast-growing Bank operating in the Kilimanjaro region with its head office and the main branch at Mwanga town supported by three service centers located at Moshi, Same and Hedaru. Currently, the bank is looking for qualified and self-motivated Tanzanian candidates to fill the following vacant positions: –
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Work location: Head Office
Type of Employment: Fixed Employment contract of 2years [renewable basis- subject to performance]
SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
This position will be responsible for mobilization of deposits from retail as well as institutional Customers. The holder of this position should fully participate in the design and launch of innovative saving products such that the deposit mobilization target set by the Organization [quarterly as well as annual] is achieved. He/she must ensure that all activities pertaining to the mobilization of Customer Deposits are processed correctly, timely and up to the satisfaction of the Customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Making sure that deposit mobilization targets are met at the organization level [on a quarterly as well as annual basis]
Establish regular coordination with the MCB Branches/ Service Centers and providing support to ensure that each Branch/ Service Center achieves their set target for deposit mobilization
Ensure that the deposit growth rate is improving at all the time by mobilizing deposits on a daily basis
Planning and developing the deposit mobilization programme for the bank; implement and leading other staff who will be involved in the programme implementation
Working closely with banking agencies [Wakala] of the bank to make sure that deposits are growing, and solving problems they might be facing on their daily operations
Maintain a fruitful relationship with Clients and address their day-to-day needs effectively
Carry out other activities as would be outlined in the detailed job description.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION:
Advanced diploma/degree in economics, business administration, accounting or any related field
At least one year of experience in the banking industry on deposit mobilization or similar role
Sharp and fast moving
Good analytical and negotiating skills/ capacity
Self-motivated and result driven
Capable to work under deadlines
Good communication skills both English and Swahili [oral and written]
