Sales Manager - Fiber OpticThe Sales Manager - Fiber Optic is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling fiber-optic products and solutions, including fiber-optic cables, connectivity, network infrastructure, and related services. This role leads sales strategy, manages key accounts, develops new business opportunities, and guides a sales team to meet and exceed targets within telecom, ISP, enterprise, utility, and data center markets.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development:Develop and execute sales strategies to grow fiber optic product and solution sales.Identify and pursue new business opportunities in telecom, ISP, enterprise, government, and utility sectors.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and distributors.Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and contract closure.Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.Account & Pipeline Management:Manage key and strategic accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term retention.Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using CRM tools.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.Team Leadership & Performance:Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.Set sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.Collaboration & Strategy:Work closely with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to align solutions with customer needs.Support product launches and go-to-market initiatives.Provide market feedback to influence product development and positioning.QualificationsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2-3 years in fiber optics, telecom, or networking. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of fiber-optic products (single-mode/multimode fiber, OSP/ISP, FTTH, data center solutions, etc.).Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.Ability to understand technical solutions and translate them into business value.Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.Preferred Qualifications:Experience selling to telecom operators, ISPs, contractors, or data center customers.Familiarity with fiber network design and deployment concepts.Existing industry contacts and relationships.Work Environment & TravelCombination of office-based and field work.
