Learn more about us at http://www.enzazaden.comEnza Zaden Tanzania Ltd is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Seed Production Lead.About the RolePosition: Seed Production LeadReports to: Operations ManagerPosition Type: Staff PositionJob Location: Arusha, TanzaniaObjective of the Role:To coordinate, supervise, and actively participate in all seed production activities, from nursery through seed extraction, ensuring efficient and high-quality end-to-end operations. This role demands a hands-on, lead-by-example approach, working directly with teams in the field to maintain exceptional seed quality, ensure full traceability, enforce strict hygiene and farm protocols, and optimize the use of labor and resources.Main Responsibilities:Coordinate and oversee nursery activities, block preparation, transplanting, crop maintenance, pollination, harvesting, and seed extraction processes.Plan, organize, personally oversee, and participate in pollination and emasculation activities in accordance with approved crop production programs.Collaborate closely with the Operations, Post-Harvest, and Quality teams to ensure the seamless execution of seed production plans.Manage labor allocation and productivity by leading from the front, demonstrating correct work methods, discipline, and adherence to protocols across all seed production activities.Oversee the stock management of seed production consumables and materials.Support health, safety, hygiene, and compliance initiatives within seed production areas.Prepare reports, identify deviations or risks, and recommend corrective actions to management.Qualifications and SkillsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.Bachelor's degree holders require 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience.Diploma holders require at least 7 years of experience in seed, crop, or horticultural production.Strong understanding of hygiene protocols and contamination prevention measures.Proven ability to lead teams through direct involvement, effectively allocate labor, and coordinate multiple production activities simultaneously.Strong analytical and reporting skills, with meticulous attention to detail and traceability requirements.Good communication and coordination skills, with proficiency in both English and Swahili.Ability to work cross-functionally.Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Office applications and production record systems.Our OfferWe provide a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefit package, and an innovative work environment.
