MSI Tanzania is recruiting for the following positions:

Position III: Senior Center Manager (1 position)
Expected duty station: Dar es Salaam

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Senior Center Manager is a key member of the senior management team responsible for managing, developing, and expanding MSI Tanzania’s network of clinics as a sustainable social business. The role ensures high-quality standards across all centers and works closely with Customer Care Advisors, Centre Managers, Clinical Quality teams, and HMIS teams. The Senior Center Manager directly supervises Centre Managers and the Head of Laboratories and Clinical Support Administration and represents MSI Tanzania externally when required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Centre Performance Management

Provide leadership support to Centre Managers.
Review monthly performance indicators and provide structured feedback.
Support development and implementation of demand-generation and business plans.
Lead problem-solving for underperforming centers.
Strengthen relationships with LGAs, partners, and referral networks.
Drive financial sustainability and service diversification.
Analyze market trends and propose innovative solutions.


2. Quality, Compliance, and Client Safety

Ensure implementation of MSI and Ministry of Health protocols.
Review quality assurance outcomes and client feedback.
Support prompt reporting and management of clinical incidents.
Coordinate quality improvement and mentorship activities.


3. Financial Management and Controls

Support robust cash management and financial controls.
Approve supplies and authorize payments per policy.
Ensure accurate monthly reporting and compliance with budgets.


4. Stock, Logistics, and Infrastructure

Ensure strong stock management and minimal expiries.
Monitor commodities, equipment, and assets.
Coordinate maintenance of equipment and IT infrastructure.
Track compliance payments and facility requirements.


5. People Leadership and Development

Line manage Centre Managers and oversee performance management.
Support team development, mentorship, and succession planning.
Reinforce MSI values, safeguarding, and workplace conduct.


Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

University degree in health sciences, social business, social sciences, or international development.
MBA is an added advantage.
Knowledge of health systems management and family planning is an advantage.


Experience:

At least five years of management experience in health or social sectors.
Experience managing multi-tiered teams.
Proven senior leadership and people management experience.


Skills:

Strategic leadership and vision development.
Negotiation, influencing, and conflict management.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
IT literacy and entrepreneurial mindset.
