About this job

The Roads Fund Board is Government Institution under the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication established by the ROad and Fuel Tolls Act, CAP 220. The Board invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies.
Senior Computer Systems Analyst
Duties and Responsibilities

To facilitate the implementation of information technology(IT) and e-Government Policy;
To facilitate the development of integrated information and communication technology;
To ensure hardware and software are maintained
To ensure proper procurement of proper software and hardware
To facilitate the establishment and use of electronic mail communication on LAN and WAN;
To carry out survey in proposed areas of using IT as an instrument to improve service delivery
To review annual operation plan, budget and action plan of implementing agencies and advise accordingly
To facilitate the development of integrated management  information systems for the corporation;
To coordinate the development of integrated information and communication technology;
To develop integrated management information system for the office
To coordinate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning process; and
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and Experience
A holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized institution with a working experience of not less than six years in the related field
Required Skills

Experience with relational databases
Practical skills in using SQL(Structured Query Language).
Practical skills in using the .NET software framework
Experience with object-oriented programming
Knowledge and experience in developing web-based applications
Sound knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

Knowledge

Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
Ability to design, write, test, maintain, and debug computer program source code
Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues
Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Terms of Engagement
