SENIOR CREDIT MONITORING, RECOVERIES & LITIGATION MANAGER - (BANKING INDUSTRY)
HR World on behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Credit Monitoring, recoveries & Litigation Manager with experience in the banking industry.
Responsibilities;

Maintaining bank resources and overseeing cases relating to litigation collection and ensuring timely reporting on the cases
Attendance at meetings with clients and their Solicitors aimed at achieving amicable resolution of issues in dispute between the Group and the Clients notwithstanding pending litigation.
Issuance of demand letters to defaulting clients and their guarantors as well as handling ancillary issues in respect of debt recovery.
Legal guidance across all areas and geographies to ensure every transaction is appropriately negotiated, documented and implemented, losses arising from litigation are minimised.
Ensuring timely payment of debts
Negotiating re-payment plans
Deciding whether or not to offer the credit and managing debts of the existing creditors.
To identify accounts which are above sanctioned limits, expiry of limits, showing other early and late warning signals, causing concern
Ensure that demand notices and statutory notices are issued timely and after an advice from Recovery department.
Restructuring/compromise
Proposing accounts to be downgraded into NPA.
Attending court hearing sessions as bank’s witness.
Call customer / borrowers in which their accounts indicate defaults, to negotiate the plan for repayments, and also to visit customers to evaluate the progress of their business
With support from Credit, ensure that legal risk in recovery is minimized by establishing performance based contracts with Debt Collectors, private investigators, valuers and other support functions to support recoveries.

Qualifications;

Bachelor's in Law
5 – 8 years in the Legal Services Department of a financial institution or Bank.
Strong leadership skills
The ability to work in a team as well as individually
Sound decision making
Technical competencies in litigation practice, banking relevant regulations and its environment
